I think I'm going to have to set up a wish list so that some kind soul can buy me the new
catalogue raisonné of the complete paintings of Anthony Van Dyck, an Antwerp man like Rubens but by far the better painter if you ask me. It's only £125, or $157 from
Amazon.
Either that or I could call the
Rubenianum in Antwerp tomorrow, where one of the authors is director, and try to blag a press copy. I wonder what the chances of that are.
